David Smart, an esteemed Airbnb Superhost, brings a wealth of experience and commitment to ensuring exceptional stays for our valued guests.
Relocating to Koh Samui from Cirencester, UK, in 2005, David's love affair with Thailand began in 1990, with Koh Samui emerging as his favoured destination. Motivated by the prospect of a new business venture, he made the bold decision to establish a thriving rental enterprise on the island.
With a background in Cirencester's flooring business, coupled with extensive involvement in property development and rental, David's passion for creating diverse properties flourished in the UK. Seeking a fresh challenge, the allure of Koh Samui became irresistible. Since his move, David has successfully crafted 15 properties, including 11 luxurious villas available for rental. Ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, each villa boasts its own private swimming pool, with four offering breathtaking ocean views, all designed in unique and tropical styles. Notably, our flagship Villa Moonstone, a source of great pride, reached completion in January 2020.
Navigating the complexities of villa development in a culturally diverse environment has presented intriguing challenges for David, but the rewards have surpassed expectations. The process has allowed him to push the boundaries of creativity and inspiration, resulting in a portfolio of remarkable properties.
At Peacefulvillas, David is fuelled by a strong sense of motivation and dedication, engaging with visitors from around the globe who choose to stay and often return to our exclusive villas. In the past 19 years on the island, he has only returned to Europe twice, briefly visiting Milan and Madrid for the love of football and to support his beloved Spurs in the Champions League.

Free Airport Pick Up
We provide complimentary transfer for guests from the Samui airport, ferry terminal, or hotel to your Villa and a return journey at the end of the visit (one in each direction).
Our driver will be waiting for you with a name sign at the arrivals area. Just relax and enjoy the scenic drive to your villa.
Getting Around
Vehicle Rental
Our ocean view villas include the complimentary use of an automatic 4x4 Toyota Fortuner the use of an automatic Toyota Avanza (6/7 seater). For vehicle rental available, we can arrange vehicle rental at competitive rates.
If you prefer not to drive, private hire car services are available. Reliable private car hire contact and they can pick you up at Sitara's entrance.

Terms & Insurance
No Passport Hold
We do not hold your passport. You are free to carry your documents at all times.
Full Tank Provided
All vehicles come with a full tank of fuel. Fuel cost during your stay is at your own expense.
Minimum Hire
5 days minimum for all vehicles and mopeds. Short-term daily rentals are not available.
No Off-Roading
Strictly no off-roading or driving in harsh terrain. You are responsible for any accident damage.
Insurance (Cars)
All cars are insured with guest bearing the first 20,000 Baht of any damage. Drive carefully.
Guest Responsibility
Guests must carry their own comprehensive Travel & Health Insurance and valid Thailand driving documentation.
Moped — No Insurance
There is NO insurance on mopeds. The guest pays for any and all damage incurred.
Return Refuelling
On return to airport or ferry, a brief refuelling stop is made to top up. Cost is at guest's expense.
