Inside the Villa
There is an open plan kitchen area with microwave oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, blender, full cutlery and crockery etc. Also an open plan tropical outdoor living area with Smart TV with Netflix, Youtube, etc., together with an additional indoor living/dining area with wicker sofa, teak dining table and selection of books for those who enjoy to read. A spacious en-suite Bedroom with air conditioning, king size bed, elegant teak furniture and a Smart TV with Netflix, Youtube, etc..
The Villa has a lovely private salt water swimming pool with jetted seating area, with beautiful surrounding lush garden and Lotus pond with colourful carp. There is also patio garden furniture with table, chairs and parasol together with a built-in outdoor gas barbecue, where you can enjoy to cook fresh meat and fish purchased from the local market or Superstores, and dine al fresco with exquisite outdoor living.

Location
The Villa is just a 10 min drive from the seaside town of Lamai, with its beautiful expansive beach, smart restaurants, small bars, Thai boxing and many other attractions.
Villa Amber provides a quiet and peaceful location, particularly for couples, who want to experience and learn more about the local Thai culture. You will have plenty of places to explore. This beautiful tropical area has quiet local beaches, authentic local Thai restaurants, a Rum Distillery, Laem Sor Pagoda, the waterfalls and the fishing village of Thong Krut with its wonderful atmosphere of lazy, sunny hot days, and here you can watch the fishing boats go out to sea.
The local beach to Villa Amber is only 650 mtrs away, where the coastline is calm and shallow waters. Due to the water being shallow, it is not always ideal for swimming. There is a real beauty however in these quiet and natural beaches which can hold a far greater appeal than busy tourist beaches. Walk alongside the palm trees, dip your toes into the clear water and feel the sense of Koh Samui of long ago. Within this area you will also find boat trips, snorkelling trips, horse riding and kayaking on offer, together with several lovely beachside restaurants and cafes. Lamai Beach, only a 10 min drive away, is where you may prefer to swim where the ocean is deeper. You do of course have your own private pool at the villa.
Just 800 mtrs away is 7-Eleven, a local 24hr store for your basic shopping, together with an ATM, which are located everywhere across the island.
With the Tesco Lotus Superstore and the popular large food supermarket, Makro located in Lamai, your every need is catered for.
There are many excellent restaurants to choose from where you can dine in the beautiful balmy atmosphere and soak up the whole experience. Within a 3 min walk of Villa Amber is a popular local Thai Restaurant serving both Thai and European food. The ever popular and healthy Organic Restaurant Sweet Sisters is only 800 mtrs away and less than a 5 min drive is Bang Kao Seafood restaurant, set alongside the beach.
Thong Krut, the local fishing village, has many wonderful local beachfront restaurants to experience, along with the nearby beautiful Laem Sor Pagoda to visit - all less than a 6/7 min drive away. Located here in the south tip of the island you will see stunning sunsets, where it is the perfect place to enjoy the simple pleasures, away from any hustle and bustle. The southern part of the island, where Villa Amber is located, remains pretty much unspoiled, especially compared to the north. It still has that rustic charm appeal that the whole of Samui once boasted years ago. We are frequently told by guests they find the Thai people in this southern part of the island extremely hospitable, and welcoming. In the north where it is far more crowded and touristy on the island there is not always the opportunity to discover the true warmth and charm of the local people. The beaches in the south remain pretty much undeveloped, due mainly to the shallow coastline. If you like to explore you can still find areas where you have the beach to yourself, and never too far away will be a rustic Thai restaurant where you can enjoy true authentic local dishes.

We provide complimentary pick up for guests from the Samui airport / ferry terminal / hotel to your Villa and a return journey at the end of your visit (one in each direction).
All towels and linen provided. The villa is cleaned, with change of clean bed linen and towels, twice weekly.

Local Attractions
The seaside town of Lamai, the second largest on the island, and far superior in every way to congested Chaweng, is 10 minutes away by car or moped, where you can dine in one of the many beach-side restaurants. There are many shops lining the streets offering locally made souvenirs and clothes. When the sun goes down the streets come alive with lights and music from the night market and variety of bars while the restaurants serve excellent Thai and western dishes in the town and on the beach. Thai boxing is also popular and Lamai has its own professional and amateur boxing ring. Five mins north of Lamai is Silver Beach, one of the best beaches on the whole island.
Five mins away by motorbike or car you have the fishing village of Baan Hua Thanon where fresh fish, fruit and vegetables are sold daily at the local market. There are also many local shops here, together with doctor's office, restaurants and a Chinese temple.
Nearby to the Villa many of the island's main attractions are less than 10 minute drive away, which include the Waterfalls, Elephant Trekking, Grandma/Grandpa Rocks, Thai cookery classes, Thai boxing classes (Muay Thai), horse riding, water sports, among many others.
Amphoe Ko Samui Stadium, only a 5 min drive away, is home to many popular sports events, where visitors can come to watch the activities. It is located in an attractive area, surrounded by a lake/reservoir where there is a football field, basketball etc and you can also walk around or jog with lots of shade. Also outdoor fitness park with brightly coloured exercise equipment which is free to use.
Nowhere on the island is more than 50 minutes away.
